Richard C. Brantley

Richard’s mom and dad died when he was only three years old. After being passed around from family to family, his aunt and uncle took him under their wings. They lived on a small farm in Western Washington, 40 miles North of Seattle.

Richard loved to turn off outside lights and look at the night sky with all the planets, shooting stars, and what he thought were UFO’s. He recorded his sightings in a journal with colorful detail and would dream about exploring the Milkyway. It was one of his favorite things to do.

Richard always loved reading Sci-fi books. He could never get enough! Growing up, He read every Sci-fi book in his school library, it was a very small school. 

His writing career started over 20 years ago writing radio and television commercials. When he wrapped a sales message around a story, results always exceeded expectations. A few of his favorites had a Sci-fi theme. He delighted in painting pictures with words.

After retiring from a career in marketing, Richard wanted to finish writing “Time Stamping” a novel he started years prior. Three years later, it became a reality! A Sci-fi book like none other!

Richard lives in Spokane Valley, WA with his wife. He has two grown children and three grandchildren.

TIME STAMPING:

EXPLORING THE UNIVERSE IN STARCHASER A TIME POWERED STARSHIP

Time Stamping: A Sci-Fi Adventure Across Space and Time
My story, recorded on a nearly human-like laptop named Tin Lizzy with an outlawed chip, is one of extraordinary adventure and cosmic exploration.

Wow, where do I even start? I picked up this paperback and was immediately hooked by the whole idea of a kid—yes, a seven-year-old—getting abducted by aliens and unknowingly carrying around the secret blueprints for a time-powered starship in his head. Talk about a wild childhood! Fast-forward a bunch of years and boom: StarChaser is born, a ship that uses this mind-boggling “TimeStamping” method to skip through galaxies quicker than I can skip my morning coffee.

From the get-go, I could tell the author poured a ton of love and detail into this universe. I caught myself grinning over how vivid every planet and mission was—like I was binge-watching some epic sci-fi series. Seriously, the level of detail made me wonder if the author has a direct hotline to these alien worlds. A couple of other readers also commented that the author’s vision is just off the charts, and I couldn’t agree more.
One of my favorite parts? We get to see how all these alien species might’ve helped shape human evolution—hello, Great Pyramids! Then there’s the rescue mission to Jupiter’s moon Io, an escape from a time warp that catapults the crew back to the Big Bang (like, what?), and an astrophysicist giving birth to an alien baby. It’s bonkers in the best way. Somehow, there’s always another interstellar curveball, whether it’s shape-shifting villains or underground cities on a frozen planet. Honestly, I kept thinking: “Yup, that’s it. It can’t get any crazier,” and then it did. Every. Single. Time.

I also got a big kick out of how easy it was on the eyes—no squinting at tiny letters. Another thing folks have pointed out is the unique style that keeps you eagerly flipping pages, and I totally felt that. It’s like the book gently but firmly drags you into the cockpit of StarChaser and says, “Strap in, we’re going to Andromeda!”
It’s not just a sci-fi romp—it’s an escape from reality. It actually made me forget about all the annoying stuff I have to deal with in my daily life. That’s high praise in my book! By the time I finished, I was practically chanting, “Sequel, sequel, sequel!”
So, if you’re on the fence, my advice is: snag it. If you’re a seasoned sci-fi buff, it’ll scratch your cosmic itch. If you’re new to the genre, this might be the one that wins you over. Either way, “Time Stamping: Exploring the Universe in StarChaser” is a fun, mind-bending ride that I can’t recommend enough.
Seriously, five stars all the way—someone pass the warp drive, ‘cause I’m ready for round two!
